A ROUND THE START OF THE 21st CENTURY, DANCE SESSIONS BECAME ALMOST SYNONYMOUS with exercise with the creation of group exercise classes such as Latin, hip-hop aerobics, and even street dance. A good majority of these classes are frequented by women who aim to change their body image through dance or aerobic work.

Dancing is now one of the more popular choices of the female exercising population. Aside from it not detaching them from their femininity, it also provides a means to reach fitness goals in a fun way. Dance classes have gained so much popularity that you see almost the whole female population of the gym inside the aerobics or dance studio.

To help out the female gym crowd, we asked popular dance teacher and American Council on Exercise-certified group exercise instructor Jill Ngo-Crisologo to rank the best dance classes today according to degree of sexiness, and what makes each sexy dance workout a good fitness regimen.

HIP-HOP
WHY SO SEXY?

Hip-hop is sexy because those who are into it dance so confidently. Even though they wear slouchy tops and pants, it becomes sexy because of the attitude.

EXERCISE INTENSITY

Depending on the style (street dance, groove, etc.), hip-hop classes use a lot of the legs and arms especially when choreography includes a lot of squats, heel raises, and arm swings.
